Okay, so, I got my hands on this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Sapphire.
First off, I started by digging around for info. I looked at a bunch of places online, trying to figure out the best spot to snag one of these. I saw some stuff about the Cal.3861 movement, but honestly, that’s a bit over my head.
Here’s what I really wanted:
- It had to be a Speedmaster Professional.
- That whole Moonwatch history thing? Yeah, I wanted that too.
I found some tips on how to order these from some official store, but, you know, it seemed like a lot of work. Then I saw one that caught my eye – the Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary edition. Looked cool, but it was way out of my budget.
Then I got to thinking, these watches need winding up and stuff, right? I watched a couple of videos and yeah, you gotta wind them. Not a big deal, but good to know.
I ended up finding this one online. It’s a CopyOMEGA Speedmaster, the Professional Moonwatch with the sapphire crystal. Looks really slick.
The Unboxing
Alright, so I got the watch. It came in a pretty fancy box, all things considered. Opening it up, the watch was sitting there, looking shiny. It felt heavy, in a good way, you know? Like it’s made of good stuff. The strap felt nice too, not cheap or anything.
I started messing around with it, trying to figure out how to set the time and all that. The crown was a bit stiff at first, but it loosened up after a few turns. I got the time set and put it on. Feels good on the wrist, not too big, not too small.
Wearing It Around
I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I gotta say, I’m really digging it. It keeps time well, which is the main thing, right? I haven’t had to wind it yet, but I’ll probably do that soon just to keep it going.
People have noticed it too. I’ve gotten a couple of “nice watch” comments, which is always a good feeling. It’s definitely a conversation starter. The sapphire crystal is super clear, and I like how the light hits it. You can see all the little details on the dial really well.
I did a little more reading about the movement. Apparently, it’s a hand-wound Caliber 1861. Something about 21,600 beats per hour, and it’s supposed to last for 48 hours on a full wind. I don’t know much about that stuff, but it sounds impressive. I also saw something about it not being as accurate as some other watches, but who cares about a few seconds, right?
Final Thoughts
So, yeah, I’m happy with this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster. It’s a good-looking watch, it feels solid, and it’s got that cool history behind it. I saw somewhere that it’s called a “dot over 90” on the bezel, whatever that means, but it has it. If you’re thinking about getting one, I’d say go for it. Just make sure you find a good place to buy it from, and you know, do your research and all that. But overall, two thumbs up from me.
