This here watch, the OMEGA Speedmaster, you know, they call it the Moonwatch. Some folks like it, some folks don’t. This one I’m talking ’bout, it’s a copy, ain’t the real deal. But it looks just like it, I tell ya. It’s got that see-through back, so you can see all them little gears and things movin’ around. Fancy, huh? This OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, they call it.
Now, this copy, it ain’t gonna cost ya an arm and a leg. Real ones, they’re pricey. Heard some folks say them old ones, the vintage Speedmaster Moonwatch, they’re worth a whole heap of money. And they say they just gonna keep goin’ up in price. If you got a real one, good for you. Wear it like you’re king. That’s good Speedmaster “Pre-Moon” models. But this copy, it’s good enough for regular folks like me.
They say this watch, it’s big, 42mm. But it don’t feel too big on your wrist. My neighbor, he’s got one of them skinny wrists, and it looks just fine on him. He got a hesalite Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, looks good. Don’t ask me what hesalite means. It is a kind of this watch. Smaller than other big watches, they say. Don’t know how that works, but that’s what they say.

Seen some fellas online talkin’ ’bout this Thomas Preik fella. Makes these clear backs for watches, they say they’re good. I don’t know him. If you wanna change your watch, maybe you can find him. Fit all Speedmasters, even the 3861, someone said it’s safe to change. They even talk about how to clean it, the Speedmaster Pro (3570.50). What a mess! But I think no one will do that to a copy one, right?
Some folks, they get all worked up ’bout the real ones. Talkin’ ’bout “Pre-Moon” this and “Professional” that. Single angle beveled design for the case back? I don’t know. That’s what they say on the First Professional models of Speedmasters Omega. Whatever that means. Just a watch, far as I’m concerned. But a fancy one, I guess.
Heard a story ’bout a fella who messed up his watch. Tried to fix it himself. Broke it real good, they say. So if you gonna get one of these, copy or not, best to just let them watch people handle it. Don’t go pokin’ around in there yourself.
You know what? I saw some people talking, they want a smaller one, a 39mm one. They call it Speedy Reduced auto. Something about the little dials being in the right place. And they said, get rid of that see-through back, put a solid one on with a picture. That’s what they did on the Omega Speedmaster Rep one.
This copy I’m talkin’ ’bout, they call it the OM Factory SpeedMaster Moonwatch Series V2. They say they fixed it up, made it better. Better dial, better case, whatever that means. Looks like a watch to me. A good watch, though. I think I heard someone say it is updated. That’s cool.
Now, if you’re gonna get one of these copy watches, you gotta learn how to use it. How to set the date, how to use that timer thing. I don’t know how to use all that, but some folks do. Maybe you can learn.
This Copy OMEGA Speedmaster, it’s a good watch. Looks just like the real one, most folks wouldn’t know the difference. And it don’t cost a fortune. So if you want a fancy watch, but you ain’t got a fancy wallet, this might be the one for ya. Just don’t go tellin’ everyone it’s real, okay?
One more thing, don’t lose your shirt. That’s a good watch, but don’t pay too much for a copy one. You need to keep in mind, it’s just a copy. Not real OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. If you want a real one, you need to save more money.
This copy is good enough for me, though. Tells the time, looks nice. That’s all I need. It’s just a watch, after all. But a nice one. A right nice one.
