You see, this here watch, it ain’t your everyday ticker. It’s a Rolex GMT-Master II, they call it. And this one, it’s special. It’s for them folks what wear their watch on the other wrist, you know? Lefties, they call ’em. High imitation, too. They look just like the real thing, but they ain’t gonna cost ya an arm and a leg like them fancy ones in them specialty stores.
Now, I seen a lot of watches in my day. My old man, he had a pocket watch. Kept it on a chain. But this Rolex, it’s somethin’ else. Shiny, it is. And it’s got all these little doohickeys on it. I think that it can tell you what time it is in other places, too, not just here in this Rolex GMT-Master II specialty store. That’s what that GMT stands for, I reckon. Good for them traveler folks.
This one here, they call it the “left-handed version”. See, the little knob you wind it with, it’s on the other side. Usually, it’s on the right, but this one, it’s on the left. ‘Cause them lefties, they wear their watches on their right hand. Makes sense, I guess. They say it makes it easier to wind up and change the time, and look at the date without havin’ to pull your sleeve all the way back, it doesn’t twist your wrist around like a pretzel. This high imitation one, it’s just like that. All switched around.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout these high imitation watches. Some folks, they don’t like ’em. Say it ain’t right to buy ’em. ‘Cause they ain’t the real deal, see? But I tell ya, these ones, they look so real. And they don’t cost near as much. I don’t drink that stuff, never have. This one here, it’s just all black around the edge. Looks classy, I think. Just like the ones in them fancy specialty stores, but not as pricey, ya see?
Some folks, they worry about the colors on these high imitation ones. Sayin’ they ain’t quite right. Well, maybe they ain’t perfect. But you gotta look real close to see the difference, I reckon. Most folks, they wouldn’t know. And if you want it just right, I hear you can buy the colored part separate and put it on yourself. I wouldn’t know how to do that, though. My hands ain’t as steady as they used to be.
If you are lookin for somethin different in these fancy specialty stores, you see, there is other kinds. But if you want one of them that everyone knows, that looks real fancy, you just get one of these high imitation Rolex GMT-Master II. I bet you will like it. This watch, it is good. I think you will be happy with it.
But me, I’m just a simple person. I don’t need no fancy watch to tell me what time it is. I got a clock on the wall, and the sun in the sky. That’s good enough for me.
